I have often said that one of my favorite things about being an uncle is seeing the world revealed through the eyes of my nephews. Their fresh approaches redirect my attention to things previously missed or perhaps forgotten. Many of those little “wow” moments are outside and truly reflect the endless wonder of our Creator.
One of my nephews, Easton, has been really enjoying drawing lately. The other day he showed me something that he had created. As with many children’s drawings, at first glance you may not notice much but after taking a little time, you begin to see the order among the chaos.

He had drawn a tree–putting an actually structured and methodical approach together to bring it to fruition on paper. I am supposed to be a little biased but I was really proud of what he created and I told him! I’m genuinely excited to see what he creates next.
God’s Kingdom is all around us. While it may be hard to realize in some places, it doesn’t take long sitting on a mountain top or in the woods by a creek to be overcome with inspiration. Those “mountain top” experiences awaken a deep desire within our souls to respond and our response is worship!
“Ever since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—God’s eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, because they are understood through the things God has made. So humans are without excuse.” Romans 1:20 CEB
We are challenged to redirect our attention to the “incredible” of God’s Kingdom around us and, like gardeners, we are invited to then participate with God in a continued creative process. How we contribute–our inspired response–that is our worship and the hope is that our efforts help others redirect their attention to the endless wonder of God’s Kingdom. How will you worship today?
